The Racial Justice Leadership Institute, developed by the Applied Research Center, is an interactive training for those who wish to sharpen their skills and strategies to address structural racism and advance racial equity.  Unlike “diversity trainings” which primarily focus on interpersonal relations and understanding, the Institute emphasizes how to challenge and change institutional racial inequities. The Institute offers practical tools and viable strategies for counteracting unconscious bias by explicitly and effectively addressing racial equity.  Topics include:

• the difference between diversity, equality and equity

• the four levels of racism

• practice framing issues that impact the non profit community with racial justice lens

• develop and test compelling stories on racial dynamics in Dallas

• learn about and practice with the Racial Equity Impact Analysis Toolkit
